Help My Best Friend Jason Celebrate His 50th Birthday in True Superhero Style

Hey guys!

It is almost Groundhogs Day 🦫 (I couldn’t find a groundhog emoji 😁)… and my BEST FRIENDS birthday!

Turning 50 is a big deal. Some people buy a sports car. Some get Botox. Some suddenly become very passionate about bird-watching.  Some do all the above!

My best friend and roommate?

He wants a Wonder Woman tattoo — and honestly, it fits him perfectly.

So when he told me that his dream for his 50th birthday was to finally get the Wonder Woman tattoo he’s wanted for years, my immediate reaction was simple: Tattoos are not for me, but he absolutely deserves it.

Not because tattoos are necessities — they aren’t — but because joy is. Marking a milestone with something bold and meaningful is sometimes exactly what a person needs. And after everything he’s pushed through, especially this past year, he’s earned a moment that’s just for him.

He’s endured things that would make a lot of people crumble, and instead of giving up, he’s grown.  He’s shown up for himself in ways that are new, brave, and honestly inspiring. I’ve noticed it. I appreciate it. And yes, it has made things a little easier for me too. Watching someone you care about step into their own strength is its own kind of gift.

That’s why I convinced him to let me share his GoFundMe.  Because sometimes the world should get a chance to cheer for the people who rarely ask for anything — even when the thing they want is a superhero emblem on their arm.

Why Wonder Woman?
For him, Wonder Woman isn’t just a character. She represents strength, compassion, resilience, and the courage to be unapologetically yourself. She also has the uncanny ability to look incredible while deflecting nonsense with magical bracelets — a skill he has basically mastered without the accessories.

Frankly, if that doesn’t describe him, I don’t know what does.

This tattoo isn’t just ink. It’s a milestone. A celebration. A symbol of everything he’s overcome, everything he stands for, and everything he’s still becoming as he steps into his next chapter.

How You Can Help
If you’d like to pitch in — whether it’s a few dollars, a share, or even a supportive comment like “Do it, Diana!”  — it would mean the world to both of us. Every bit helps bring this birthday dream to life.

A Final Thought
Life is short, and the moments that matter aren’t always the big, dramatic ones. Sometimes they’re as simple as helping a friend get the tattoo that makes them feel like the superhero they’ve always been — even before the ink.

Thanks for reading, thanks for supporting, and thanks for helping make his 50th birthday one he’ll never forget — mostly because it’ll be permanently inked on his body. 🤣

Hugs to YOU and HUGS to Jason!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Me and Bonnie 🐶🐾!

  1. As a Paramedic student, I had to attend an autopsy. The autopsy I got was a 19 year old boy that I pronounced dead in the wreck of a car he had owned for two hours. He had a couple tattoos. The autopsy started with the Medical Examiner recording, on tape, a description of the body; when he got to the tattoos, he described each as best as he could, for the record. For the record. Those tattoos went into his final record. I’d thought about that for many, many years. BUT, it did not discourage me from getting my two tattoos, one is a 9/11 tribute I designed myself, the other is a star of life on my shoulder like a uniform shoulder patch.

Get the tattoo! It obviously is important to you, as mine were to me. Be proud of your ink, cuz it will be going into your final record too 🙂

I have made a donation. Shop for your artist. Ask each at least this question: why should I get my tattoo from you? The answers will amaze and guide you.

    Enjoy!

      • I think every tattoo should have some kind of meaning behind it. Presumably they do, why else, other than drunken stupor, would someone get a tattoo? I had a pretty cute neighbor with tattoos. One day I got brave enough to tell him I was gay and found him attractive. After he told me that he was not interested in a relationship like that, I told him that I was disappointed, I had been looking forward to a tour of his tattoos. Besides being on a cute body, I would have loved to hear the story behind each one.

  2. I just brought you to your goal. Hopefully you were able to find the time and try to find my old pictures…LOL 😆 If not just start posting pictures of guys in red underwear, or guys posing in the bathroom in front of the shower curtain… Mine might be there somewhere!

    • Thanks Nick! You are too kind!

Believe it or not, I have been looking for those photos all this time! It is not an easy task… I get distracted looking at all the old photos, if you know what I mean! 😉🤣

    • You rock Nick! You have made this possible for me and I am so grateful! And let me tell you, Jason is working VERY hard trying to locate your photos. There is a lot of attention and focus going into this hunt! 😁

  3. I’m glad that I decided to visit the site today. I have four tattoos that mean a lot to me. It doesn’t matter if other people don’t like them or understand them. All that matters is that it means something to you. To that end, I went to your GoFundMe site and donated the last bit to meet your goal. Happy 50th birthday 🥳!

    • Hey Steve! I cannot thank you enough for helping me reach this goal! Would love to hear the stories behind your tattoos and what you have. I have 6 currently, most of which I hope to get covered up with the something more meaningful in time. This Wonder Woman tattoo will start that journey.
