I hope everyone is trying to stay warm! We had windchill temps in the -40 range (the neat thing is that it doesn’t matter at this temp whether you use metric or imperial measurements, it is the same number! COLD IS COLD!)
Anyway, I was in a generous mood today and gave you guys some extra pics. Granted, the first 30-some are of the same guy… What can I say, I find him HOT! But then again, I find all the guys I post to be hot in one way or another.

Well, it is -18°C where I’m at and it’s going to remain sub-zero into February. Sunday and Monday it’s going to snow with an accumulation predicted between 20 cm and 40 cm. Expect super high gas bills.
I don’t know if I am “lucky” or not, but my apartment is not heated with gas. It is heated with electric… but you do NOT want to know how high my electric bill is!!! Stay warm Daniel!
Electric is definitely more expensive than gas. I don’t know who your Medicare provider is, but with some plans you can get assistance for paying utility bills. There is also HEAP for low income households. You may want to look into these options to offset high energy costs.

I would have NO problem going to Brasil! It is warmer there! lol.
+40°C and extremely humid is probably just as unbearable as -20°C and freezing. I hear in Australia there is a heat wave going on now where temperatures are near 50°C, which is the limit of life. An exposure of a few hours over 50° will bring on death.

Urgh, when it’s so far minus that Farenheit and centigrade are the same, the only thing to do is drink hot toddies non-stop and pray for mercy. Why are such temperatures legal? Doesn’t the government care?
FYI. The term centigrade as the name for the standard temperature scale was deprecated in 1948 and replaced with the name Celsius. That was 78 years ago. The reason is that there is an angular scale based on gradians in which a full circle is 400 gradians. A hundredth of a gradian (grade) is a centigrade, thus a conflict.

YW called the standard temperature scale as “centigrade”. That name is deprecated. That name was changed in 1948 to Celsius after its creator, Anders Celsius of Sweden.
