Hey guys!
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the end of summer! I am having good days and bad days. The constant crushing, burning pain that feel 24 hours a day/7 days a week is having a huge impact on my mental health. I know a lot of people get uncomfortable when you start talking feelings, which I think is unfortunate. Everyone deals with things that would be easier to cope with, if you talk about it with someone else. It doesn’t have to be a therapist, it could be a good friend or even your dog (or cat), Just ask Bonnie! She is a good listener and usually gives some pretty good advice!
Anyway, my bestie/roommate took a big step (for us) the other day. We went to our first cannabis dispensary to get some gummies – me, for trying to get relief from the arm and hand pain and the other Jason got them to help with concentration. It is our first time trying gummies. We have not yet taken any – We agreed to do the first one on the weekend. Wish us luck! lol. Does anyone out there have any personal experiences they would be willing to share?
Anyway, it is time for some selfies!

I hope the gummies help you and your friend. Just keep in mind, they may take a little while to kick in. If you don’t feel anything right away, don’t immediately eat more thinking you got a dud.
I had never smoked pot or done recreational drugs in my life. I’d never even tried regular cigarettes. But all of the spinal surgeries and other health issues I was dealing with cause such severe pain that I had to do something. My doctor authorized a medicinal marijuana card. My friend took me to a dispensary for the first time. I still didn’t want to smoke anything, so I got a low dose THC brownie. That night, I went home, and cut that small brownie into four equal sections. I ate one section, never having tried drugs before in my life. I didn’t feel anything at all. 20 minutes passed and I thought maybe I just didn’t take enough. I ate another section. A little while later, I didn’t feel anything but hungry. I was craving something sweet. The only thing I had that was sweet was…the other half of the brownie. So I ate it.
The next thing I knew, I was sitting on the couch, drooling while watching an episode of ALF, snoring with my eyes open. I have no idea how ALF got on the TV. Fun show though.
So yeah, ease into it and you should be ok. 🙂
Hey Kevin! Thank you for the advice AND for giving me a good laugh right when I needed it!!! By the way, I LOVE Alf!
